Pamper Yourself, Inside and Out

Our full-service and spa-like beauty salon and barber shop offers cuts, styling, sets, permanents, coloring, trims, and shaves as well as manicure and pedicure treatments. Our licensed cosmetologists offer stylish haircuts and styling, by appointment, at a nominal fee. Enjoy our laid-back beauty parlor atmosphere and leave our chairs feeling rejuvenated.

For your overall health, relaxation, and well-being, a licensed massage therapist is also available by appointment.

THE RICHLAND PLACE DINING ROOM

The food service and culinary staff of Richland Place wish to make your dining experience a pleasant one. Meal times are not just a time for nourishing your body, but also a time for rich social interactions. With this in mind, a lovely dining room setting has been created, extensive dining hours established, and a varied menu provided for you and your guests. Buffet and restaurant style dining is provided daily, plus take-out service, catering, and room service upon request.

One meal a day is included in your monthly service fee. You may have lunch and dinner for an additional charge. The dining room requires a system for recording and computing meal charges and asks your cooperation with this system by following these simple rules.

Please wait for the dining staff to assist in seating you allowing us to record an accurate meal count.
Enter the dining room using the main entrance by the host podium.
You may eat lunch or dinner. It is not necessary to advise us of your meal choice.
You may leave through any exit you wish at the end of your meal.

TRAY SERVICE FOR ILLNESS

Tray delivery to your apartment due to temporary illness is available. Call the dining room at least one hour in advance of the mealtime to order your tray. Complimentary service is limited to three deliveries per month then a charge of $3.50 per delivery will be added to your account.

ROOM SERVICE

Room service is available to your apartment for an addition $5.00 per delivery. The meal will be delivered on china. Please schedule at least two hours in advance with the Dining Manager.

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS

Residents with special dietary needs are requested to contact the dining manager or the staff dietitian for advice on ordering their meals. The daily menu offers many selections to accommodate restricted diets.

DINING ROOM RESERVATIONS

Reservations are required for parties of five or more as there is a limited amount of table accommodations. A waiting area is available for walk in parties of five or more if immediate seating is not available. Please make reservations a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Reservations and responding RSVPs are also strongly suggested/required for special-occasion meals to aid the staff in preparations such as insuring adequate seating, staffing levels, and food quantities.

CATERING

The food service department is capable of providing numerous catering services for residents and their guests. For a catering menu and further information, please contact the dining manager two weeks in advance.

GUESTS

Your guests are always welcome to dine with you at Richland Place. It is customary for residents to accompany their guests. Please note that a caregiver on duty is not considered a Dining Room guest. Please contact the dining manager for further arrangements and reservations.

SUNDAY BRUNCH

Sunday Brunch is a special event at Richland Place. A bountiful selection of salads, breakfast and lunch entrees and desserts are available for your selection from the buffet. Dining hours are 11:00am until 2:00pm. Please make reservations for parties of five or more people with the dining staff by 6:00pm Saturday evening. There is a limited number of tables that accommodate the larger parties; therefore, walk in parties are welcome. Immediate seating may not be available.

FULL BREAKFAST

A Full Breakfast Menu is served Monday through Friday in the Soda Shop.

TAKE-OUT

If you wish to order your meal TO-GO, please call the dining room to place your order between 4:00 and 5:00pm. Dinner menus will be on the table outside of the mailroom by 3:00pm daily. For more information regarding take-out, please refer to the Take-Out Policy.

TAKE-OUT POLICY

If you wish to order your evening meal for take out, please call the dining room between 4:00 and 5:00 to place your order for pickup.
If you cannot place your order during the specified time, please be prepared to be placed on HOLD if you call the Dining Room during service hours.
Once you place your order, you may pick up any time after 5:00. We will prepare you order beginning 10 minute before agreed pick up time.
Caregivers may pick up at the back door only.
For BUFFET meals, you may call in your order, or you may go through the buffet yourself with the appropriate containers.
You may also ask for a to-go container for any leftover food on your plate at the end of your meal. In consideration of your fellow residents, it is customary that take out meals/buffet to-go, be limited to one (1) choice meal per resident per day. Residents are more than welcome to order/take food for additional meals at the current charge cost of the particular meal.
All to-go meals will be served in disposable containers. (Room service delivery is available for a small fee)
Caregivers are not allowed to go through buffets and must wait for a dining partner to attend to their orders.
A whole fresh fruit display is provided in the front of the dining room. All residents are entitled to one (1) piece of fruit per dining room meal. Fruit is only available for pick up during dining hours.

Fitness Center

Designed with your good health in mind, the Richland Place Fitness Center features the latest in exercise equipment, plus individual and group fitness programs. Open 24/7, our well-equipped fitness center includes treadmills, ellipticals, circuit training, weight training, stationary bicycles, recumbent bicycles, and more.

Our personal trainer is on-site twice a week to help you achieve your fitness goals safely and effectively. We also offer nutrition and wellness seminars, yoga, Tai chi, Zumba, chair exercises, and strength and balance conditioning. Seminars are led by physical therapists, nutritionists, trainers and other wellness professionals.

Games & Activities Room

Our impressively-equipped Game & Activities Room is the ideal location for catching up with fellow residents and meeting new friends. Enjoy card or board games, puzzles, Trivial Pursuit, and bingo or challenge a neighbor to a game of billiards. Residents often reserve the room (at no additional fee) for private poker nights and Bridge Clubs.

Many Richland Place residents gather in the inviting and cheery space to collectively craft, scrapbook, and indulge in a variety of hobbies and interests.

Guest Rooms

As a resident of Richland Place, you have continual access to guaranteed, around-the-clock health care services at the Health Center at Richland Place. The Health Center offers assisted living, intermediate care, and skilled care with an emphasis on our top-notch rehabilitation services.

Our long-term and skilled care services are offered in the adjoining healthcare center and are supervised by full-time physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses. We have 131 long-term and skilled care licensed beds. Our staff includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists.

Guests of residents are always welcome at Richland Place! Our on-site accommodations are perfect for visiting friends and family. Guests have the choice of reserving a room with two double beds or a room with an expansive king-size bed. Each guest suite has a private bathroom, seating area, TV, a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

Library

Richland Place offers its residents a richly-stocked lending library and provides a relaxing atmosphere for enjoying the latest best-seller or a timeless classic. With more than 5000 fiction and nonfiction volumes, 1000 videos, and hundreds of audiobooks, book and movie lovers can rejoice. We have an impressive local Tennessee history and local author section as well!

Personal Transportation Services

For your convenience, personal transportation services are available Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, which will take you anywhere you would like to go within a five (5)-mile radius. There is no additional fee for use of this service. The personal transportation service will also take residents to Nashville International Airport at no additional cost (even though the airport is beyond the five-mile radius). Richland Place also has a 24-passenger coach bus which is often used for planned outings and activities.

Nighttime group transportation is frequently provided to destinations including the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), whose four stages are home to the Nashville Symphony, Tennessee Repertory Theatre, Nashville Opera, Nashville Ballet, and Circle Players — among many other popular local pursuits and places of interest.

Private Dining Room & Lounge

Richland Place offers a spacious and elegant private dining room for special family gatherings. There is no charge for the room (which seats up to 14 comfortably) and residents have the option of dining from the daily menu, ordering from our catering menu, or having outside caterers service your event. It’s perfect for family gatherings, birthdays, and holidays.

Connected to the private dining room is a cocktail lounge that can accommodate an additional 20-30 people, depending on the configuration.

Soda Shop / Deli

Complementary coffee is available in our soda shop, which is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Breakfast foods, sandwiches, shakes, and other treats are also for sale at our Soda Shop/Deli during those hours. Dine-in or carry-out Available.

Full Breakfast offered from 7:30 to 10:30 / Lunch is served from 11:00am until 2:30pm.

Also, a complementary men’s breakfast is offered every Tuesday along with a women’s breakfast every Wednesday.

Study

Our cozy, well-lit study offers residents a quiet place to browse the internet, send a few emails or print important documents. Residents enjoy sinking into a comfy, oversized chair and catching up on the latest news with a copy of The Tennessean, New York Times, or the Wall Street Journal. WiFi is available throughout the entire property.

INDOOR Swimming Pool

Our elegant pool is ideal for both exercise and recreation. Our climate-controlled pool area features spacious windows for natural daytime lighting, room for pool-side reclining, and an inviting hot tub. The swimming pool is included in the monthly service fee; water exercise classes are offered daily at no additional fee. For example, swimming pool aerobics classes are scheduled daily at 9am and 10am.
